Have questions? We have answers. Here are some of the most common questions we hear from families.
Do you offer a free initial consultation?
Yes! We offer a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation to discuss the concerns you may have with your child’s communication and social development. We can let you know if a speech and language evaluation and/or speech therapy is right for your child. Book today!
Is My 18-month-old too young to receive speech therapy?
No, it is never too early for a child to receive support. Early Intervention (birth through three years of age) is the critical time to start intervention. Services are individualized based on each child’s developmental level and communication needs.
Do you accept insurance?
Clients are billed each week and are responsible for payment of all services provided. While we do not contact your insurance company, we do provide you with a Superbill for all paid invoices. You must submit the Superbill to your insurance provider on your own behalf. You can contact your provider directly to see if they will provide reimbursement. Lil’ Chit-Chat does not contact your insurance company directly.
How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?
If your child is not meeting typical speech or language milestones, has difficulty being understood, struggles to follow directions, or becomes frustrated when communicating, an evaluation may be beneficial. Early support can make a big difference in communication development.
